  3. Hi Erica,
Wow! What a great learning experience for you and in turn your students in Arizona. Please keep us posted on all of your learning. It is so interesting to hear about the day to day living. Some of the things that you have shared are so different from what we think is the 'norm.' I look forward to hearing more.

  4. Hi Erica,
Wow! What a great learning experience for you and in turn your students in Arizona. Do people in India pump their own gas? What is a common family pet in India? Do boys and girls attend classes together? Does India still experience a caste system? What type of dwelling are you living in?

I have many more questions, but I will wait to hear your responses on these.
    Love,
    Debbie Humpal

  5. Will miss you Miss Bailin! I'm with you there Kaci! Oh i miss you so much! Like Haley, Honors isn't the same without you! It's so different! Mrs. Duncan is fine but she talks so fast and all we did was A.D.D papers and write thing in our journals for math! And reading all we really did was read! And she never said to use action word or emotion with it! Everyone just read plainly! Like it was so boring when i knew it could be more fascinating! No one can replace you Miss Bailin!

  6. Hannah - Hang in there kiddo! :) Try to make the best of it. Be a class leader and model how to read with enthusiasm. Life is a stage! :) There will be plenty of math work to get done. Don't rush it. It is harder to use the text and come up with your own examples, so understand if it is taking you a bit longer. No worries!

  7. Hi Mrs. Humpal,

Do people in India pump their own gas? NO. SOMEONE PUMPS IT FOR THEM. IT IS LIKE A SERVICE STATION. What is a common family pet in India? CATS ARE UNLUCKY AND DOGS ROAM THE STREETS. IT IS FAIRLY UNCOMMON TO OWN A DOG. HOUSE PETS ARE NOT COMMON. Do boys and girls attend classes together? YES, BUT THEY USUALLY DO NOT SIT BY EACH OTHER. Does India still experience a caste system? FORMALLY THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE POSITIVE STEPS TO ELIMINATE IT, BUT REALISTICALLY, IT IS COMPLETELY PRESENT.What type of dwelling are you living in? AN APARTMENT

Grrrrrreat questions! We are having an amazing experience. Did ou watch the video of the Indian teachers reflecting from our seminar? you will love it. Hug my mom for me!

People eat lunch between 3-4pm and eat dinner between 10-11pm.

That is so weird because in arizona we eat lunch 11a.m. to 1p.m. and eat dinner from 5p.m. to 8p.m. it sweird how difrent my cultures are and how difrent religon is. i wish the world would get along .
